White Rose Coffee Roasters Brazil Bourbon Yellow Cold Brew Coffee Review
For all the different types of Coffee I have tried, The Brazil Bourbon Yellow is one of the best but, it's always hard to find.
However, after having a look around various places, the award-winning White Rose Coffee Roasters actually had The Brazil Bourbon Yellow. It was like finding a Shiny in a pack of football stickers, so I had to buy it.
White Rose Coffee Roasters Brazil Bourbon Yellow Coffee is Just liking finding that rare trading card!
This Brazil Bourbon Yellow from White Rose Coffee Roasters didn't officially have a strength score, however it is a Medium roast (so I'm expecting around a 3) with 84 Fruity and full-bodied with grape and deep chocolates.
Setup of the White Rose Coffee Roasters Brazil Bourbon Yellow Coffee
I purchased the bigger 1 kg of Beans, so I could experiment with the Coffee per ration. I found 156g of coffee to 1.3 litres of water did the trick.
Then added cold tap water, ready to start my 12-hour (plus 2 hours after a stir) brew:
Look at that lovely foam on top.
The taste
This was the first time I used my Custom Cheese Filter that went into the Hario Filter (double filter action) so that I can reduce the coffee sludge.
Then, after storing it in the fringe overnight, it looks really nice.
Again, after pouring it into the Beast insulated cup, I worked out you only needed about 50ml of Water to the 300ml of coffee to dilute it.
Time for tasting and right away, the pure smoothness of the Bourbon Yellow is right there. It's not massively strong (without a doubt a 3 strength) but it's so tasty and smooth you want to keep on drinking it.
What you don't really taste any Bourbon, so don't worry about that, and at the end of each sip you can almost taste that chocolate taste.
Considerations
It's £14.78 for 1 kg per bag and £3.90 for p+p which is around £18.68. This makes quite a few cups, and sub £20 for this coffee is absolutely fantastic.
