Antonia and Panesar Peaky Blinders Cold Brew Coffee Review

My good friend Dan lives down the road to where Antonia and Panesar are based, up in Yorkshire. He is such a legend, he sent me a care package of coffee for me to try.First out the Box was Antonia and Panesar Peaky Blinders Coffee As, well, the name alone sold it for me.Let's give Antonia and Panesar Peaky Blinders Coffee a minute and see how it turned outFrom the description on both the pack and the website, it has an explosive strong dark coffee punch that's smooth and a seductive finish., Apparently, Just how the Peaky Blinders like it.Setup of the Antonia and Panesar Peaky Blinders CoffeeThis was the last coffee to use the Bodum 1.5-litre cold brew coffee maker before moving over to the OXO cold brew Coffee maker, so I added 157g of coffee to it and let it cold brew for 14 hours. The taste of the Antonia and Panesar Peaky Blinders CoffeeStraight away, you can taste almost a “burnt” taste when taking the first sip.  This is usually because it's a dark roast, and for me that's the initial impact you're going to get.  However, after a few more sips, the Strete really kicks in.By the time I have finished my one cup, the caffeine really hits you and wakes you up. This is how dark it was post brew and fridge storage: ConsiderationsIt's £11.45 posted for 227g of the Antonia and Panesar Peaky Blinders Coffee. That is on the premium side of the coffee spectrum, however, the massive caffeine hit that gets you right away is almost worth the cost by itself as it really does wake you up.The ScoreI will give Antonia and Panesar Peaky Blinders Coffee 3 beans of 5

White Rose Coffee Roasters Brazil Bourbon Yellow Cold Brew Coffee Review

For all the different types of Coffee I have tried, The Brazil Bourbon Yellow is one of the best but, it's always hard to find. However, after having a look around various places, the award-winning White Rose Coffee Roasters actually had The Brazil Bourbon Yellow. It was like finding a Shiny in a pack of football stickers, so I had to buy it.White Rose Coffee Roasters Brazil Bourbon Yellow Coffee is Just liking finding that rare trading card! This Brazil Bourbon Yellow from White Rose Coffee Roasters didn't officially have a strength score, however it is a Medium roast (so I'm expecting around a 3) with 84 Fruity and full-bodied with grape and deep chocolates.Setup of the White Rose Coffee Roasters Brazil Bourbon Yellow CoffeeI purchased the bigger 1 kg of Beans, so I could experiment with the Coffee per ration. I found 156g of coffee to 1.3 litres of water did the trick. Then added cold tap water, ready to start my 12-hour (plus 2 hours after a stir) brew:Look at that lovely foam on top. The tasteThis was the first time I used my Custom Cheese Filter that went into the Hario Filter (double filter action) so that I can reduce the coffee sludge. Then, after storing it in the fringe overnight, it looks really nice.Again, after pouring it into the Beast insulated cup, I worked out you only needed about 50ml of Water to the 300ml of coffee to dilute it. Time for tasting and right away, the pure smoothness of the Bourbon Yellow is right there.  It's not massively strong (without a doubt a 3 strength) but it's so tasty and smooth you want to keep on drinking it. What you don't really taste any Bourbon, so don't worry about that, and at the end of each sip you can almost taste that chocolate taste.ConsiderationsIt's £14.78 for 1 kg per bag and £3.90 for p+p which is around £18.68. This makes quite a few cups, and sub £20 for this coffee is absolutely fantastic. The ScoreOverall, I will give it 4 beans out of 5.

Asda Extra Special Brazilian Roast & Ground Cold Brew Coffee Review

Whenever I go shopping, I go down the Coffee aisle, as you never know what you might find. The Asda Extra Special Brazilian Roast & Ground Coffee caught my eye and I had to give it a tryWith a higher strength of 4, the dark medium roast has a nutty note.Setup of the Asda Extra Special Brazilian Roast & Ground CoffeeThis is already ground coffee so no need to grind it and as it's a stronger coffee, I put 160g of it in the Bodum:Then added cold tap water, ready to start my 12-hour (plus 2 hours after a stir) brew:The TasteAfter storing in the fridge in the Hario:It was time to pour my usual 300ml into my Beast Cup:What I found is that it wasn't as strong as I thought but, was a little sharp.  So after popping in a bit of water, I found the optimal ratio was 300ml coffee concentrate to 50ml water. That was enough to remove the sharpness and give off a slight hint of nut showing.Still, it wasn't as strong as it claimed but, it was just about drinkable.ConsiderationsIt's cheap, it's £3.50 for 227g or 2 for £5.50 which you can really complain about, and it will do for a single origin from the supermarket. The ScoreOverall, I will give it 2 beans out of 5.
